Cross your fingers

They’re stitching me up.
Cervical length 2.5cm with .5cm funneling.
I’m getting an epidural which I’m absolutely CRAPPING myself about.
Wish us luck..........

GOOD. I mean, it sucks that they have to do that and that it will involve pain, but I'm glad they're doing this.

If it means anything, your experiences have made me more vigilant about my own future pregnancy (I hope... I hope...). The image of your last loss haunts me. Now you won't have to go through anything like that again.

Hopefully if I ever get pregnant again I'll be having a stitch as well- be sure to post when we get home so we know you're ok!

Good Luck! I hope that it all goes well.. I was actually talking to my friend last night about what pain killers they use for that.

I hope it all goes well!

I'm so glad you are getting it done. Best of luck and the epidural is weird but ok. You will get a bit shakey as it wears off but don't be scared about that. You will just look like Mohammed Ali for a half hour or so and he was the greatest fighter ever in the world so that's not such a bad thing right?

Good luck.... I got stitched at 13 weeks and was 2.5 cm, very soft and dilated at least to 1 cm. But so far the stitch is holding its own even being 2cm at times and funneling to the stitch. It's amazing how they work so well. I am now almost 26 weeks and have been on full bedrest since the cerclage placement. I have been reading some of your archives and I can relate so much to the fear of every little feeling and especially the fear of going to the bathroom(my baby started coming out on the toilet too). Hang in there, cerclages are successful for many women, no matter how dicky the cervix!

By the time you read this (I feel like I should be in a movie or bad romance novel with an opening like that) you'll have hopefully had your stitch and be feeling a little more confident, keeping things crossed that everything turns out wonderful for you.

I got stitched up at 13 weeks. The stitch is working great.

I can relate to some of your feelings - everytime I feel anything in the cervix area, I freak out. I don't want to loss another son.

Hi, I'm one of Chan's friends and I recently visited her, a few weeks back, while I was home in Oz and she was taking it easy and doing buggar all. I understand your concern so thought I'd let you all know she is doing ok. I keep bugging her to update you all but she doesn't want to jinx herself. Pray I don't jinx her. Rissa.
